problem with wireless network security password on multiple computers?

I enabled security password on my wireless router through one computer on this network but when i access this network through the other computer it asks me for password, when i try to enter this password it gives an error message like the password should be hexadecimal digits within a certain range. how can i fix this?

  1. It is really not asking you for a password. It is asking you for the wireless security key, which you let the router generate for you. Sign in to the router and find the key to use on the others. This should be about 24 digits long or shorter if it is in hex.
  2. If you have to, find out the hexadecimal translation of your password. You can typically find that on your router's admin page where you setup the security. There's 4 keys each with a hexadecimal code. Also, make sure you're using the same number of WEP encryption bits -- 64 or 128 as your router.
